Pool resurfacing

One drain. Every surface renewed.

Resurfacing bundles plaster, waterline tile, step detail and fittings into a single project — the whole waterline down, renewed at once.

More than a replaster

If you're draining the pool, do it once.

Resurfacing is replastering plus everything else that lives at the surface: waterline tile, step trim tile, skimmer throats, return fittings, light niches and rings. Doing them together costs meaningfully less than doing them one drain at a time — mobilization, water disposal and refill only happen once.

It's the right scope when the plaster is tired and the tile is dated, cracked or falling — which, on pools past twenty years, is usually both. The result reads as a new pool without touching coping or deck.

Every resurfacing quote is itemized line by line, so you can see exactly what the tile adds and decide with real numbers instead of a bundle price.

How it works

How a resurfacing project runs.

01

Assessment

We inspect plaster, tile, fittings and lights, then quote the package line by line.

02

Drain & strip

One drain: old plaster chipped out, old tile removed, shell repaired.

03

Tile, then plaster

New waterline and trim tile set first, then the finish coat applied up to it.

04

Fill & startup

Refill and a managed 28-day cure — then it swims like new.

Pool resurfacing questions

Resurfacing vs. replastering — what's the difference?

Replastering renews the interior finish only. Resurfacing adds waterline tile, step trim and fittings in the same drain — the full surface package. If your tile is fine, replaster; if it's dated or failing, resurface.

Is it cheaper to bundle tile with plaster?

Significantly — the drain, disposal, refill and mobilization are shared. Doing tile separately a year later means paying for all of that twice.

Can you match my existing coping and deck?

Yes — tile and finish samples are chosen against your actual coping and decking, in your light, before anything is ordered.

How long is the pool down?

Usually 2–3 weeks including tile work, plus the cure period after refill during which you can swim.

Tired plaster and dated tile? One project fixes both.
